Record the source. Protect the source.

Interview turns an interview into a speaker-labeled transcript without sending a byte to a server. Your recordings and notes stay on your phone, where nobody can request them from a third party.

The Interview library: recorded interviews with titles, durations and the people in them

No third party to hand it over.

Cloud transcription services can be compelled to produce what they hold. Interview holds nothing. There is no account and no server.

Import the audio you already have.

Voice memos, phone recordings, video from a press conference. Share the file to Interview and it is transcribed on the phone, even a two-hour file.

Remembers a voice.

Name a source once and the app recognizes that voice in the next interview. The voiceprint stays on the phone, and you can delete it any time.

How it works

  1. Record, or import.

Tap Record in the room, or send an existing file to the app.

  2. Let it work.

Transcription and speaker labels are produced on the phone. Airplane mode is fine.

  3. Quote with confidence.

Every line carries a timestamp and a speaker. Export as text or Markdown for your notes.

Questions

Does it work with no signal?

Yes. Everything runs on the phone, so it works in a basement, on a plane, or anywhere you would rather not connect.

What languages does it transcribe?

The app detects the language spoken and transcribes in the languages supported by Apple's on-device speech models, which cover the major world languages. Check the App Store listing for the current list.

Can I search across interviews?

Yes. The library is searchable by title and by the people in each interview.

What does it cost?

Free download with two full interviews included, then a one-time $19.99 unlock. No subscription.
